ABOUT FOUNDER

Drs. H. Thayeb M. Gobel

Founded in 1956 by the late Drs. H. Thayeb M. Gobel, the Gobel Group grew from its origins in manufacturing into a diversified business ecosystem spanning multiple industries, including logistics. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence laid the foundation for nearly seven decades of growth and transformation.

Gotrans Logistics International (GLI) was initially created to support the Gobel Group’s internal distribution and supply chain needs. Reflecting the same values of innovation and integrity that shaped the Group’s early ventures,

GLI expanded beyond its in-house role to serve a broader market with reliable logistics solutions.

Today, guided by the enduring legacy of the late Drs. H. Thayeb M. Gobel, GLI continues to thrive as a trusted logistics partner—delivering reliability, efficiency, and sustainable growth, while upholding the values of integrity and dedication that define the Gobel Group.

PT National Gobel was separated into an SBU for Freight Forwarding under the name PT Gotrans Interna Express

1991

Merger of PT Gobel Intinusa Corporation, PT Dharma Karyayasa, and PT Gotrans Interna Express to provide total logistics services as a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider

2001

PT Gotrans Interna Express was renamed PT Gotrans Logistics International

2009

PT Gotrans Logistics International began handling FMCG (food distribution)

2014

Expanded into express courier services

2015

Started managing cold chain warehouse and trucking services

2016

Operating branches across Indonesia, with comprehensive warehousing and transportation services nationwide
